In late 2023 we sponsored Anna Hursey, a rising young star in Welsh Table Tennis. Since then, we have cheered her progress all the way to Olympic qualification for Paris this summer.
This sponsorship adds to our existing support package for Welsh Sport and strengthens our commitment to nurture talent and develop the next generation.
Aged 17, Anna is thought to be the youngest person to represent Wales at senior level in any sport. She was only 10 when she competed for Wales in a European Championship qualification match against Kosovo back in 2017.
Hursey, from Camarthen, competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom, where she came third in the women’s doubles event.
Anna is a United Nations ambassador for climate change in sport, and in 2021, Hursey spoke with US President Joe Biden about climate change.
